Eagle Ford an Oil Production Barn Burner, Say Analysts

The Eagle Ford Shale of South Texas is likely the biggest potential driver of U.S. oil production growth for the next five to 10 years with production on track to pass 1 million b/d by the middle of next year and 1.7 million b/d by the end of 2015, analyst at Raymond James & Associates said in a note Monday.

$100M Proppant Plant Slated for Arkansas

Ceramic products company Saint-Gobain is developing a ceramic proppant manufacturing plant in Saline County, AR. The company said its proppants division will build a 100,000-square-foot facility on 68 acres at a cost of $100 million.

Staff of the Arkansas Oil and Gas Commission (AOGC) has recommended the permanent shut-in of saltwater disposal wells in an area north of Conway, AR, in the Fayetteville Shale where a recent earthquake swarm is thought to have resulted from waste injection activities.
