LNG Tapped to Gas Up Haynesville Trucks
Encana Corp.’s Encana Natural Gas Inc. plans to supply liquefied natural gas (LNG) to fuel fleet vehicles in the Haynesville Shale. It will source the LNG from Pivotal LNG, a unit of AGL Resources, Inc., Pivotal said Monday.

Near-Flat and Lower Pricing Dominates Market
“Summer doldrums” appeared to be an apt description of Thursday’s cash market as few points budged much from their previous-day positions and weather patterns weren’t showing a great deal of change either. A large majority of points were flat to slightly softer despite forecasts of hot temperatures continuing into next week for most of the eastern two-thirds of the U.S.

Southern California Gas is ending Thursday a high-linepack OFO that had been in effect for the previous two days. The LDC expects July 5-19 anomaly repairs on a segment of Line 2000 and a one-day Wheeler Ridge Station outage July 6 for repair of a cracked weld on the emergency shutdown discharge header to result in capacity losses of 200 MMcf/d at El Paso-Ehrenberg and 450 MMcf/d at Wheeler North, respectively.
Market Posts Higher Quotes at Most Points
Prospects of greater heat levels returning this week had prices rebounding at a large majority of trading locations Monday. The previous Friday’s rise of 3.6 cents by prompt-month futures and the return of industrial load from its usual weekend decline were additional minor bullish factors.
