El Paso said Line 1110 downstream of Pecos River (NM) Station will be out of service for repairs today and Friday. Although repairs to adjoining Line 1103 were being completed Wednesday, the Line 1110 work will keep cause the capacity through Pecos River limited to 640 MMcf/d through Friday.

Kinder Morgan, Calpine Propose Major Pipeline to CA

Move over El Paso, CIG, Transwestern, Kern River and Questar Pipeline, and make way for another major pipeline project to the California energy market. Kinder Morgan Energy Partners L.P. and independent power producer Calpine Corp. announced yesterday that they plan to build in two stages a 1,160-mile, 1.75-2.25 Bcf/d natural gas pipeline extending from the San Juan Basin to the California border and then to the San Francisco Bay area.

Kinder Morgan, Calpine Propose Major Pipeline to CA

Move over El Paso, CIG, Transwestern, Kern River and Questar Pipeline, and make way for another major pipeline project destined for the California energy market. ANR Launches Westleg Open Season in WI

El Paso Corp. subsidiary, ANR Pipeline Co., launched a non-binding open season to determine customer interest in its Westleg expansion project, which would provide additional looping and compression along its existing gas pipeline system in South-Central Wisconsin. The announcement comes a month-and-a-half after the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission gave the go-ahead to the rival 149-mile Guardian pipeline project (see NGI, March 19).

CIG Dusts Off Ruby Pipeline, Plans Extension to Sacramento, CA

El Paso subsidiary Colorado Interstate Gas is dusting off its Ruby Pipeline project in light of the scramble to increase deliveries to the California market. The project, which originally was announced in 1998 to serve northern Nevada, will be extended to Reno, NV, and into California, the pipeline said in an open season announcement last week.

El Paso reported Friday its system integrity was threatened byhigh linepack and it was making maximum injections at theWashington Ranch storage facility. The pipeline said it had imposedcustody limits at delivery points that are not taking scheduledquantities, and if necessary will limit overdeliveries at receiptpoints.
