Owensboro, KY-based Southern Star Central Gas Pipeline is holding a binding open season through Feb. 25 to test market interest in its proposed Ozark Trails Expansion Project. The project would include adding pipeline capacity along multiple segments of its 6,000-mile pipeline system, which serves St. Louis, Wichita, and Kansas City, among other markets in the Midcontinent and Midwest regions.

Loews Corp.’s Owensboro, KY-based subsidiary TGT Pipeline LLC has wrapped up its $1.136 billion purchase of Gulf South Pipeline LP from Entergy-Koch, which also is in the process of being sold. The addition completed just before the end of 2004 gives Loews, a company with diverse business interests, a second major gas pipeline operation and a much larger presence in the energy industry.

NorAm Energy Services (NES) won a large three-year assetmanagement contract with Owensboro, KY-based Western Kentucky GasCo., effective July 1. The deal includes gas supply,transportation, storage, and city gate delivery asset managementservices. The Kentucky gas distributor, a division of Dallas basedAtmos Energy, serves 180,000 customers.
