Prince Edward Island, a popular vacation spot off the northerncoasts of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, is looking to get on boardthe natural gas express line running from Sable Island through theCanadian Maritimes provinces.

Northern Natural Gas ended Monday a System Overrun Limitationnotice for all market-area zones that had been in effect for nearlytwo weeks (see Daily GPI,Jan. 19).Affiliated pipeline Florida Gas Transmission lifted an Overage AlertDay notice (see Daily GPI, Jan. 26) overthe weekend.

Questar Pipeline Co. filed an application with FERC last week tobuild a 75.6-mile, 272,000 Dth/d pipeline loop running fromnortheastern Utah to north central Utah. The project, called MainLine (M.L.) No. 104, would cost more than $80.8 million and loop aportion of Questar’s existing M.L. No. 40 and the entirety of M.L.No. 41. It would extend from a coal-seam reserve in the area ofPrice, UT to interconnections with the its own Payson Citygate andalso potentially Kern River. Questar requested the Commission issuean order authorizing construction no later than August.

Northern Natural Gas said Friday an outage of the Mustang Island757/762 platform offshore Texas, which it operates, was now expectedto extend through the middle of this week; previously it hadanticipated the outage would end Friday night (see Daily GPI, Jan. 5). The associated force majeure isaffecting deliveries into Florida Gas Transmission and Transco.

Due to freezing weather, Northern Natural Gas declared a SystemOverrun Limitation for all market-area zones Thursday.

Northern Natural Gas extended a System Underrun Limitationcaused by high linepack at least through Saturday’s gas day. TheSUL began Friday (see Daily GPI, Nov. 11).

Northern Natural said the 89 Mitchell CO2 outlet will be out forgas days Nov. 30 through Dec. 1 for planned pipeline maintenanceaffecting 80,000 MMBtu/d. Mitchell plant volumes will be at zeroduring the period.

Northern Natural Gas took its Plains Turbine down Monday forabout three weeks of unplanned repairs. The outage affects 100,000MMbtu/d at nine points on the Hobbs System in southeastern NewMexico.
