Correction

In the April 27 issue the story “EIA’s Production Estimates Get a Face-Lift” (see Daily GPI, April 27), the first paragraph should read: “The latest natural gas production data due out April 29 from the Energy Information Administration (EIA)…” correcting the date. Also in the fifth paragraph the date of the announcement should be April 29.

SEC Seeks to Force Large Traders to Report

U.S. securities trading could become more transparent and harder to manipulate if the U.S. government has its way. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) voted 5-0 last week to issue a proposal to establish a large trader reporting system, and separately proposed to put in place two investor protection measures in options markets that currently exist in stock markets.
