The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s analysis leading to the initiation of a Natural Gas Act Section 5 investigation into the rates of Northern Natural Gas was “flawed, superficial and incomplete,” Mark Hewett, Northern Natural president, told customers Tuesday.

Sea Robin Pipeline said that upon initiation of the dewatering process for its East Cameron 195 to East Cameron 334 (West Leg) segment (see Daily GPI, March 18), it discovered pipe damage in the East Cameron 334 block. “Sea Robin is currently completing an assessment of the damage and will provide additional information as it becomes available,” the pipeline said, adding that the West Leg will remain out of service until further notice.
