Cash Declines Show Up Ahead of Weekend
While some points were able to log increases for the entire week, deals done on Friday for weekend and Monday delivery included some upticks, some that did not change and quite a few that recorded declines. The Northeast, Midcontinent, Rockies and California recorded the most drops, with declines ranging from a penny to 6 cents.
Most Points Up Slightly; Northeast Falls After Spikes
The Northeast’s price strength this week, which included spikes of nearly a dollar or more than a dollar during the previous two days, was starting to run out of steam Thursday with retreats at most citygates as a modest warming trend was expected to continue into the weekend. However, the rest of the market was getting at least a little second wind as single-digit gains prevailed at most points after overall softness a day earlier.

Oregon Business Plan Summit Touts LNG Option
Liquefied natural gas (LNG) received a nod as one option to be included in the Oregon Business Plan’s effort to implement “a comprehensive energy policy” for the state in which there are three active proposals to build LNG receiving terminals.
St. Mary Digs Success in East Texas, Woodford
St. Mary Land & Exploration Co. reported solid success from a horizontal well in the Carthage Field of East Texas, in an area that several other producers have found promising, and it plans to continue to add to its acreage in the region, the Denver-based independent said Thursday.
