Seal Beach, CA-based Clean Energy Fuels Corp. said Tuesday it plans to build LNG refueling stations throughout the region following the main trucking corridors between Los Angeles, San Diego and the points to the east in the Inland Empire of Riverside and San Bernardino counties. A backbone of hub LNG stations is envisioned, the company said.

California-based Clean Energy Fuels Corp. has inked a 10-year contract with Bergstrom International Airport in Austin, TX, to build, operate and maintain a compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station, including an adjacent public portion of the facility. Clean fuel airport shuttles, taxicabs and private fleet vehicles are slated to use the facility. Clean Energy said the facility will support growing fleets of shuttle vehicles, taxicabs and private CNG-fueled fleet vehicles in the area. Construction of the CNG facility on a site adjacent to the airport is to begin in February.

AT&T Converting Vans to Natural Gas

AT&T recently asked a unit of Seal Beach, CA-based Clean Energy Fuels Corp. to convert 463 Ford vans to run on compressed natural gas (CNG). The converted fleet vehicles are to be delivered in the second quarter.

Natural Gas Vehicle Fuel Supplier to Buy BAF Technologies

Seal Beach, CA-based Clean Energy Fuels Corp. said Friday it has agreed to acquire Dallas, TX-based BAF Technologies Inc., a U.S. provider of natural gas vehicle systems and conversions. Clean Energy is a supplier of natural gas and gas-related infrastructure to the transportation sector — both compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG).
