Florida Gas Transmission (FGT) said last week it found a large new market for its Phase V expansion project. It signed a long-term contract to provide 180 MMcf/d of firm transportation capacity to Tampa Electric’s repowered Bayside generating plant (1,475 MW) in Hillsborough County in southwestern Florida.

An outage of the Sea Robin Plant will be extended by two days torepair unexpected damage found during combuster inspection. Thedamage was one part of the gas turbine and unrelated to thecombuster. The plant is expected to resume processing on or aboutApril 19.

Duke has been forced to pullback and reconfigure plans for its Morro Bay power plant along thecentral coast to accommodate local city concerns and is makingpromises to increase the city’s coffers by up to 30% through theplant remodel.
