Transwestern said Friday a force majeure outage of its Crawford Lateral that started July 3 (see Daily GPI, July 8) has been extended through Monday. It will be accepting Timely cycle nominations for the lateral for Tuesday’s gas day.

El Paso extended Lincoln Station compressor maintenance and water leak repairs on Belen Station’s Unit #1. San Juan Crossover capacity will continue to be reduced by 100 MMcf/d through Monday. The pipeline also said internal inspection pigging scheduled Friday (July 19) on Line 1208 will require a larger flow cut than previously announced. North Mainline capacity will be reduced by 160 MMcf/d.

Florida Gas Transmission extended an Overage Alert Day notice for its market area, which began Monday, at least through Tuesday and tightened the tolerance for negative daily imbalances from 10% to 5%.

Energy East Extends Gas Supply, Asset Optimization Alliance with BP

Energy East Corp. said it has extended a supply and asset optimization alliance with BP, which will continue supplying gas, market intelligence, financial products and information technology to support Energy East’s four natural gas distribution companies — New York State Electric & Gas, Connecticut Natural Gas, Southern Connecticut Gas and Berkshire Gas.

FERC Enjoined from Enforcing OCS Reporting Requirement

The U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia has enjoined the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) from enforcing its open-ended reporting requirement on natural gas pipelines operating offshore, ruling that the agency far exceeded its authority under the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act (OCSLA) when it took this action nearly two years ago.

Judge Opens Door to CPUC’s Alternative PG&E Reorganization Plan

The U.S. Bankruptcy Court in San Francisco extended the exclusivity period for PG&E’s plan of reorganization, but allowed regulators until Feb. 13 to provide the court with specific and credible evidence that they can produce a viable alternative. The court also ordered PG&E, the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) and the state to provide comments on Jan. 25 about whether a third party should be appointed to meet with them to try and attempt to resolve conflicts relating to PG&E’s plan.
