Mid-America Pipeline Co. LLC has executed long-term transportation agreements with all but one of its current shippers on the Rocky Mountain Pipeline system to transport natural gas liquids (NGL) from the Rockies to either the Hobbs, NM fractionator or to Mont Belvieu, TX, via the Seminole pipeline system. The agreements, for at least 10 years and up to 20 years, are expected to help expand NGL transportation from the growing Rockies’ basins.

Looking to extend its direct market access within the state of Ohio, Columbus, OH-based North Coast Gas Transmission LLC said it has executed a definitive agreement to acquire pipeline assets in northern Ohio that will interconnect with the company’s existing pipeline. The acquisition will extend North Coast’s direct market access from Fostoria, OH to Toledo and Marion.

Despite weather than was 5% colder than normal in the fourth quarter of 2005 and 2% colder for the year, gas customers in NiSource’s utility territories in the Northeast and East North Central regions used about 5% less gas because of conservation due to high prices, the company reported.

Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Corp. said it executed precedent agreements for the Potomac Expansion Project with Washington Gas Light Co., Baltimore Gas and Electric and Columbia Gas of Virginia to transport a total of 165,000 Dth/d of gas from receipt points with Pine Needle LNG and East Tennessee Natural Gas in North Carolina to delivery points in Northern Virginia and Maryland beginning as early as November 2007.

Marauder Resources East Coast Inc. has executed a farm-in agreement with Encana to participate in the drilling of an exploratory natural gas well, Dominion J-14, located in the Grand Pre Block, offshore Nova Scotia in the same area as the earlier successful Deep Panuke discoveries.

Williams on Tuesday executed an agreement with KeySpan Energy Delivery to begin, by November 2007, transporting 100,000 Dth/d of natural gas on its Transco pipeline from Leidy, PA to growing markets in the Northeast. A formal application is expected to be filed with FERC in September.

Kerr-McGee Oil & Gas Corp. and BP plc executed a property swap last week, with BP giving up its 37.5% working interest in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico Blind Faith discovery. In exchange, BP will receive an undisclosed amount of cash and interests in several oil and natural gas assets in the Arkoma Basin of southeast Oklahoma.
