Dusting off an almost five-year-old project, Williams said Friday it has executed precedent agreements with seven shippers to transport an additional 142,000 Dth/d of natural gas to growing markets in the Northeast on the company’s Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line (Transco) from the existing Transco/Cove Point interconnect in Virginia and the Leidy Hub in Pennsylvania. The Sentinel expansion will be operational in November 2008.

The acquisition will extend North Coast’s direct market access from Fostoria, OH to Toledo and Marion.
NiSource Feels Impact of Customer Energy Conservation
Despite weather than was 5% colder than normal in the fourth quarter of 2005 and 2% colder for the year, gas customers in NiSource’s utility territories in the Northeast and East North Central regions used about 5% less gas because of conservation due to high prices, the company reported.

Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Corp. said it executed precedent agreements for the Potomac Expansion Project with Washington Gas Light Co., Baltimore Gas and Electric and Columbia Gas of Virginia to transport a total of 165,000 Dth/d of gas from receipt points with Pine Needle LNG and East Tennessee Natural Gas in North Carolina to delivery points in Northern Virginia and Maryland beginning as early as November 2007.

Williams, KeySpan to Transport 100,000 Dth/d to Northeast by Late 2007
Williams on Tuesday executed an agreement with KeySpan Energy Delivery to begin, by November 2007, transporting 100,000 Dth/d of natural gas on its Transco pipeline from Leidy, PA to growing markets in the Northeast. A formal application is expected to be filed with FERC in September.
