AGL Resources Inc. announced Douglas N. Schantz has been named president of the company’s Houston-based Sequent Energy Management subsidiary. Schantz will be responsible for leading all aspects of Sequent’s operations, including natural gas asset management, supply and distribution, and producer services. He also will play a key role in developing and implementing long-term growth and business expansion plans for Sequent. Schantz has had 20 years of experience in the energy industry, most recently with Houston-based Cinergy Marketing & Trading, where he served as vice president-marketing and business development. He had previously been executive vice president and general manager for KN Marketing, L.P., and worked for Tenneco Energy Company and Transco Energy Company.
