FERC Grants PD to $95M Georgia Strait Pipeline

FERC granted a favorable preliminary determination on non-environmental grounds to the Georgia Strait Crossing project Wednesday. The 47.5-mile, 16-inch and 20-inch diameter pipeline would deliver 95,700 Dth/d of gas to Vancouver Island from connections with Northwest Pipeline and Westcoast Energy near Sumas, WA.

Northwest’s Grays Harbor Lateral Gets PD from FERC

FERC last week issued a favorable preliminary determination on non-environmental issues to Northwest Pipeline’s proposed 49-mile Grays Harbor Lateral, which would deliver up to 161,500 Dth/d of gas to Duke Energy Grays Harbor LLC’s proposed power plant in the state of Washington. The $75.2 million pipeline project includes two 16-inch diameter taps and would have 4,700 hp of compression from the Turnwater Station.

FERC Grants PD for Tuscarora Lateral, Approves Northern Abandonment

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has issued a favorable preliminary determination on non-environmental grounds to Tuscarora Gas Transmission’s Wadsworth Lateral, a 14.2-mile pipeline extension and associated facilities that would increase Tuscarora’s transportation capacity by 95,912 Dth/d. The lateral would extend from Tuscarora’s mainline in northern Washoe County, NV, to an interconnect with Paiute Pipeline in Nevada.

With almost no debt currently, Savidant said, “we intend to keep the powder dry,” but “there are acquisitions on the radar.”
