Southeast Supply Header Receives FERC PD

FERC issued a preliminary determination on nonenvironmental issues May 17 for the Southeast Supply Header project, a 270-mile pipeline running from the Perryville Hub to a connection Near Mobile County, AL, with Gulfstream Natural Gas, sponsored in part by Southern Natural Gas, subsidiaries of Centerpoint Energy and Spectra Energy. On the same day the Commission had authorized an expansion of Centerpoint’s connecting pipeline project, the Carthage-Perryville Line CP (see separate story).

Kinder Gets Initial Nod on Project Tying LNG Plant to LA Pipes

FERC last Thursday awarded a favorable preliminary determination to Kinder Morgan Louisiana Pipeline LLC to build a 135-mile, mostly 42-inch diameter pipeline that would provide service from Cheniere LNG’s 2.6 Bcf Sabine Pass import terminal, which is under construction in Cameron Parish, LA, to multiple natural gas pipelines.

FERC Gives Preliminary Go-Ahead for Southern’s Cypress Pipe Project

Southern Natural Gas, a pipeline subsidiary of El Paso Corp., on Tuesday received a favorable preliminary determination (PD) on non-environmental issues from FERC for its Cypress Pipeline project, which would open up a direct corridor for deliveries of regasified natural gas from the Elba Island liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Georgia to the flourishing northern Florida market.

Northwest Pipeline Receives FERC PD for Northern Leg Pipe Replacement

FERC voted Wednesday to issue a preliminary determination on non-environmental issues for Williams’ Northwest Pipeline to abandon 268 miles of a 26-inch, 50-year-old pipeline on its mainline in Washington state, starting at Sumas on the Canadian border, and replace the capacity with looping and compression along a parallel 30-inch line (CP05-32).
