A roundup of news and commentary from NGI’s LNG Insight

  • Feed gas nominations to Cheniere Energy Inc.’s Sabine Pass export terminal in Louisiana bounced back to 4.2 Bcf/d Wednesday after falling by 600 MMcf/d Tuesday. The facility can take in about 5.7 Bcf/d of feed gas. It’s unclear why deliveries fell so sharply, but the facility started ramping back up late last month after going offline in early June for maintenance. 
  • Mexico’s Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) has agreed to supply 800 MMcf/d of natural gas from the Permian Basin to Mexico Pacific Ltd. LLC’s proposed Saguaro LNG export terminal in Sonora for a term of 20 years. The facility’s first phase would produce 1.2 Bcf/d of LNG. It has not yet been sanctioned.
