Susan F. Clark was elected to the Sierra Pacific Resources board of directors, filling one of two vacancies. Clark is a partner in Tallahassee, FL-based law firm Radey Thomas Yon & Clark, which specializes in telecommunication law and energy regulation. During more than 20 years service with the Florida Public Service commission Clark was a commissioner for nine years and served as chairman in 1995-1996. She also served the regulatory commission as its general counsel.

Royal Dutch Shell plc has named Peter Voser, 50, to succeed Jeroen van der Veer as CEO effective July 1, 2009. Voser currently is Shell’s CFO and has been a member of the board of directors since October 2004. Voser joined the Royal Dutch/Shell group of companies in 1982. He left in March 2002 to work as CFO for Asea Brown Boveri, and he rejoined Shell in 2004. Van der Veer, a career-long employee of Shell, had been president and was the chairman of the committee of managing directors when he took over for Sir Philip Watts in 2004 (see Daily GPI, March 4, 2004).
