Williams’ Northwest Pipeline is holding a binding open season for its Colorado Hub Connection (CHC) project. The 34-mile Colorado Hub lateral would allow access from the Greasewood and Meeker hubs to a location near Sand Springs, CO.

CHC was proposed in April, and Northwest completed an open season in July (see NGI, July 23). Once binding commitments are received, Northwest will determine the final design and cost for the project. Subject to approvals, service is expected to be available in November 2010.

Through the binding open season, shippers may subscribe for existing Northwest Pipeline capacity paired with Colorado Hub lateral capacity to move gas supplies from points north of Sand Springs on Northwest’s mainline system to the Greasewood and Meeker hubs; or from the Greasewood and Meeker hubs to delivery points near Ignacio, CO, where Northwest interconnects with El Paso Natural Gas and Transwestern Pipeline.

For additional information or a precedent agreement, contact Hank Henrie, (801) 584-6625, or Larry Larsen, (801) 584-6645. Shippers needing CHC capacity have to complete and return a binding precedent agreement by 3 p.m. MDT on Aug. 31.
