Mutual cooperation across North America’s natural gas and oil operations is the goal of a recently renewed agreement by industry groups that serve the United States, Mexico and international producers.

The American Petroleum Institute (API), the Asociación Mexicana de Empresas de Hidrocarburos (AMEXHI) and the International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (IOGP) renewed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) “to help enhance operational performance” across the continent.

“By updating and extending the MOU, our associations will continue to collaborate on further advancing safe and sustainable operations across North America,” said API’s Anchal Liddar, senior vice president of Global Industry Services.
