With the market watching forecasts closely for signs of winter heating demand, milder trends in the latest model runs saw natural gas futures reverse lower in early trading Tuesday.

Coming off a 67.1-cent rally in the previous session, the December Nymex contract was off 27.0 cents to $6.085/MMBtu at around 8:50 a.m. ET. January was down 27.9 cents to $6.328.

As of early Tuesday, both the American and European weather models had dropped forecast demand over the prior 12-24 hours, according to NatGasWeather.
