Reliant Energy Retail Group and Luby’s Restaurants LP of SanAntonio, TX, made a multi-year energy services agreement fornon-regulated Reliant Energy Solutions Inc. to develop andimplement a comprehensive energy management services program forall Luby’s locations in the United States.

Reliant Energy Solutions will improve efficiency and will cutLuby’s $21 million annual energy expenditure through lower energyand utility costs. Elements of the program include management ofelectricity and gas supply, bill consolidation and resourceaccounting services, optimization of energy and utility systems,operations and maintenance of energy and utility systems, andretrofits for heating, air-conditioning, refrigeration, water, andlighting systems. Luby’s 226 restaurants are in Arizona, Arkansas,Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma,Tennessee, and Texas.

CMS Energy Corp. changed the name of its midstream gas gatheringand processing unit from CMS Continental Natural Gas Inc. to CMSField Services Inc. “The name change to CMS Field Services betterdescribes the range of capabilities and services the company offersto producers, as well as CMS Energy’s commitment to focus on andexpand its midstream gathering and processing business,” said DavePresley, CMS Field Services CEO.

CMS Field Services will soon be establishing offices in Houstonto develop onshore and offshore Gulf Coast midstream activitiesthat complement its CMS Panhandle Eastern Pipe Line Companies; inDenver, CO, to handle midstream activity associated with its PowderRiver Basin project, and in Midland, TX, to manage midstreamactivities that have developed from a recent major gas discovery byCMS Oil and Gas Co. CMS Field Services is headquartered in Tulsa,OK, and provides gathering and processing services as well asintrastate natural gas transportation and storage.
