Millennium Pipeline Co. LLC is holding a binding open season through Friday (Sept. 13) on a proposal to ship more Marcellus Shale natural gas through an interconnection withDominion Transmission Inc. in Horseheads, NY, near Pennsylvania. The bid is being solicited for FT-1 capacity, with the interconnection expected to transport about 200,000 Dth/d by Nov. 1, 2014. Currently, the maximum reservation rate under Rate Schedule FT-1 is a daily rate of 64.99 cents/Dth. “This is a new open season, and it is to provide additional flexibility to the existing Millennium system,” Senior Vice President Stan Brownell told NGI’s Shale Daily. NGL Energy Partners LP has acquired the water disposal business of Coastal Plains Disposal #1 LLC, which is owned by WinCo Development LLC, for 222,381 common units and $109.5 million in cash. The acquisition, which includes Coastal Plains’ approximately 40 employees, expands NGL’s subsidiary High Sierra Water-Eagle Ford LLC water gathering and treatment infrastructure portfolio by adding three water disposal facilities. The acquisition also includes an option to acquire a fourth water disposal facility currently under development and options to acquire two additional permitted locations. The acquisition complements the company’s existing footprint in the Eagle Ford Shale. That footprint currently includes 240,000 b/d of water disposal capacity located throughout the Eagle Ford, water transportation assets, crude oil transportation assets, a large scale crude oil marketing program, and mobile on site solids processing.
