A roundup of news and commentary from NGI’s LNG Insight 

  • Gail Ltd., India’s largest natural gas company, issued an expression of interest this week to take an equity stake in a U.S. LNG export project that is either currently operating or under development. The company is exploring taking up to a 26% stake in a project. India is aiming to boost the share of natural gas in its power mix from 6% to 15% by 2030.
  • Gail also said it would be interested in securing 1 million metric tons/year of LNG from the plant for 15 years beginning in 2026. More than a dozen U.S. LNG projects have been approved by federal regulators but aren’t under construction yet.
  • Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. (Adnoc) plans to sell 4% of its new natural gas when an initial public offering launches later this month....
