  • The U.S. House of Representatives passed a Republican-sponsored bill on Thursday to reverse the Biden administration’s pause on authorizing new LNG exports.
  • The bill would strip the Department of Energy’s role for determining whether LNG projects are in the public interest and give the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission exclusive authority to approve projects and export licenses.  The Biden administration temporarily suspended new project authorizations last month while DOE reviews policies for approving more exports.
