  • An unplanned outage that started Wednesday at Equinor ASA’s Hammerfest LNG export facility in Norway is expected to last until June 8, according to a notice submitted to Gassco, the country’s transmission system operator. 
  • Work is needed to repair a gas leak that occurred on a valve in one of the plant’s cooling circuits. June 8 is currently the best estimate for when the work could be completed, an Equinor spokesperson said. While European natural gas prices spiked on the news, they’ve since stabilized and declined for the ninth straight week.
