NO. 1: Power usage at the Freeport LNG export terminal was ramping up on Thursday, according to Wood Mackenzie, as the facility prepares to restart its third train. The liquefaction unit has been offline since January, when extreme cold caused electrical issues at the plant on the upper Texas coast. 

An industry source with knowledge of the matter told NGI this week that the electrical work has been completed and the third train should start-up soon. The company said late last month after extending work on the facility that it expects to bring the unit back online this week. 

Train 2 has also been taken offline for an inspection, and Train 1 is expected to be inspected after the second unit is brought back online. It’s unclear how long the inspections will last. Feed gas...
