FERC said Friday it will hold its annual “State of the Natural Gas Industry” conference on Nov. 6 at the agency’s headquarters in Washington, DC.

Past conferences have focused on a single issue, such as gas storage, the liquefied natural gas market and demand and supply issues, but the Commission did not say what the subject of this year’s conference will be.

“The conference will provide the Commission the opportunity to hear from knowledgeable industry experts and discuss the challenges facing the natural gas industry and its customers,” the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) notice of the conference said [AD07-15]. “Additional details and the agenda for this conference will be included in a subsequent notice.”

This is the sixth year that the conference has been held. Past conferences have usually lasted for an entire day, but this year’s session will be only three hours, beginning at 9:30 a.m. eastern time.

For further information on the conference, contact John Schnagl at (202) 502-8756 or at john.schnagl@ferc.gov.
