After launching a new CertifiedEnergy Marketer program last week, Energy.com Corp. announced they are offeringconsulting services to companies that wish to perform more efficientlyin today’s deregulated energy markets.

“We have gathered a team of talented consultants in order toprovide essential services to energy industry businesses duringthis time of change and restructure,” said Thomas Ulry, presidentof Energy.com. Using tools such as proprietary energy industrydatabases, Energy.com consulting offers services in such areas ascompeting in a deregulated market, business process improvement,project management performance, and cost modeling.

Energy.com’s consulting was announced one week after the companystarted their Certified Energy Marketer service, a program designedto recommend energy marketers to consumers. Any company can becomecertified, as long as they meet the requirements that Energy.comhas constructed from viewing regulatory policies from differentstates and provinces in North America.A company applying forcertification must adhere to standards of conduct, which includerules on fair marketing, billing, reliability, service, andregulatory matters, as well as submit copies of theirdispute-resolution policies, sales agreements and marketer’sinvoices to Energy.com every six months. So far, Volunteer EnergyServices, Columbia Energy Services Corp. and WPS Energy ServicesInc. have received certification.

Fees for the certification program are charged on a slidingscale based on the applicant’s revenues. Once certified, a companyreceives an Energy.com licensed logo, which will alert consumersthat the marketer is “consistent and follows a code of conduct”Ulry said.
