Enbridge Inc.’s utility subsidiary has launched an open season for up to 1 Bcf of peak natural gas storage capacity at its Dawn Hub in southwestern Ontario.

Enbridge is seeking a three-year commitment from shippers for the storage services, which could begin in April 2024.

The expansion would give “shippers unparalleled flexibility to meet their requirements and reduce operational costs” by using the top storage site in Canada that also serves the gas trade with the United States, according to the Calgary-based midstream giant.
