The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has authorized Eastern Shore Natural Gas Co. to place into service an 11-mile section of its Seaford-Millsboro Connector in Sussex County, DE [CP17-28]. The segment, between mileposts 6.11 and 16.91, is part of a planned expansion of the Chesapeake Utilities Corp. subsidiary’s pipeline facilities in Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania that would include construction of 39.5 miles of natural gas pipeline, including six pipeline loop segments totaling 22.7 miles and one 16.9-mile mainline extension. The diameter of the new pipeline segments would vary from 10-24 inches. Eastern Shore anticipates full in-service by mid-2019.
