The specter of possible supply shortages from labor disputes at Australian LNG terminals has risen again with union workers at Chevron Corp.’s Wheatstone and Gorgon facilities planning to resume strikes.

The Offshore Alliance, a coalition of Australian unions representing offshore and liquefied natural gas terminal workers, disclosed a notice of strike actions could be filed by Monday after alleged cracks in negotiations with Chevron. Unions and the company had been working on finalizing an agreement brokered by Australia’s Fair Work Commission after Chevron agreed to the terms of the deal late last month.
