Responding to Transwestern‘s low-linepack Alert Day for the West of Thoreau area (see Daily GPI, Nov. 19), Southwest Gas issued a Stage 3 OFO for Friday. Southwest told customers to ensure that their gas usage did not exceed scheduled supplies, adding, “The daily operating window has been reduced to 0% and negative daily nominations for imbalance paybacks from Southwest to customers have been eliminated until further notice.” The OFO was due to end Saturday. Transwestern said Friday it was lifting the Alert Day because of improved linepack.

Gulf South has scheduled about 20 hours of maintenance Monday on Units T1 and T2 at the Hall Summit Expansion Compressor Station. With the station in bypass mode, capacity could be reduced by as much as 175,000 Dth during this work. Reductions in nominations that need to be made will be effective at the start of the gas day, Gulf South said, adding that operating pressures on the 42-inch diameter line between the discharge of the Carthage Junction Expansion compressors and the inlet of the Hall Summit Expansion compressors will be above normal.
