Citing information received from the operator, CIG said Friday an outage at the Lost Creek receipt points on CIG and WIC (see Daily GPI, Feb. 22) would continue at least through the weekend. No gas will be scheduled at either point "until the operator has reinstated its ability to deliver gas to CIG and WIC," according to the CIG posting. Also, because of a gas quality problem at the Madison receipt point, CIG is not accepting nominations there until further notice. That outage also is expected to last at least through the weekend.
Transco reported completing repair work in Eugene Island Block 135 and said the subsea valve to South Marsh Island (SMI) 38/33 has been reopened. The pipeline resumed accepting nominations at SMI 38/33 and SMI 33D BBK effective with the Intraday 2 cycle Friday.
NOVA will reduce Alberta/British Columbia (ALTBC) border receipt capacity to 2,259 MMcf/d March 6 until further notice so further excavations and repairs can be made on the next section of the Foothills BC Mainline. Due to the location of these repairs and upcoming seasonal changes, NOVA said it is unable to determine when the work will be completed, "but they are expected to take a few months." Firm service volumes at ALTBC (including contract levels and fuel requirements) during March and April are 2,351 MMcf/d and 2,167 MMcf/d, respectively, so during the maintenance there may be some interruptions and curtailment of firm service, NOVA said.
Maintenance at Oak Spring Station (see Daily GPI, Feb. 14) was completed ahead of schedule, allowing Questar to increase ML 104 capacity to the normal 385,000 Dth/d effective with Cycle 3 nominations for Friday's gas day, the pipeline said.
Northwest has scheduled pump modifications at Burley Compressor Station for Tuesday and Wednesday this week, which will lower available capacity at the station to 469,000 Dth/d. Currently, primary nominations through Burley exceed 540,000 Dth/d, Northwest said Friday, and if this trend continues, it will be forced to declare a deficiency period and cut nominations accordingly. Burley expected to be returned to full design capacity of 593,000 Dth/d for Thursday's gas day.
