Tennessee Gas Pipeline declared a force majeure event Thursday for meters on its 24-inch line in the area of Eugene Island 240 to repair a pipeline leak. About 12 meters were shut in as a result. The company also declared a force majeure event for meters on the 26-inch line between Ship Shoal 198 and Station 523, Cocodrie (Blue Water East Leg) in order to repair damage to the sub-sea flange at Ship Shoal 157. The outage is expect to last until Saturday’s gas day.

Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line said the work required to place New Jersey Natural’s Morgan meter (No.6278) and the LILCO Long Beach meter (No.6210) is expected to be complete Friday morning. The company declared a force majeure event on its mainline in New Jersey after discovering a leak on mainline “C” on the Long Beach lateral in the Sayreville area of New Jersey on Tuesday. The outage reduced deliveries by about 300,000 Dth/d, affecting three customers, New Jersey Natural, PSEG and LILCO. Transco said the material necessary to reinstate service to the PSEG Sayreville meter, PSEG Red Oak Sayreville meter and NJN Sayreville meter is expected to arrive on site Wednesday, Nov. 17 and work will commence immediately thereafter. Service is not expected to return before Thursday, Nov. 18.

SoCalGas declared an operational flow order for Friday because of high linepack. Customers must ensure that all deliveries into the SoCalGas system are within 110% of expected usage, the utility said.

Kern River ordered no banking on its system. Banking continues to be a problem, despite daily reporting of high line pack and a no banking notice on Nov. 10, the pipeline said. Many operators continue to leave gas on the system, and it is imperative that operators take delivery of their scheduled quantities. Kern River said it will compare scheduled quantities to actual deliveries throughout the gas day. If scheduled quantities are projected to be more than actual deliveries, it will take any necessary action to reduce the excess supply.
