Williams Gas Pipeline Central is holding a binding open season through June 29 for 540,000 Dth/d of firm capacity on its proposed Western Frontier Pipeline Project. The project would provide a new transportation corridor from the Cheyenne Hub in northern Colorado to market points and connections with other Midcontinent pipelines in Kansas and Oklahoma.

The pipeline is designed to increase access to Wyoming gas production for utility, commercial and industrial end-users as well as new gas-fired electric generation plants. It would include installation of 400 miles of 30-inch diameter pipeline and a new compressor station with about 13,000 horsepower located north of Greeley, CO. Western Frontier would start at the compressor station and run southeast across Colorado through the southwest corner of Kansas and into the panhandle of Oklahoma. It would provide interconnections with Panhandle Eastern, ANR, Northern Natural and Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America.

The company plans to file an application for the project with FERC in the third quarter and hopes to have it in service in November 2003. For more information contact Donny King at (270) 688-6968.
