Transportation Notes

For the first time in July Pacific Gas & Electric entered a weekend without having a high-inventory OFO in place. One that had been declared for Friday (see Daily GPI, July 23) was not extended. However, Southern California Gas did implement an OFO-like Overnominations Day for Saturday.

Florida Gas Transmission Friday ended an Overage Alert Day notice (see Daily GPI, July 23) that had been in effect two days, but said it would keep monitoring market activity due to continued strong demand.

Public Service Co. of Colorado and Cheyenne (WY) Light Fuel & Power implemented Operational Balancing Procedures for all areas Saturday and Sunday. The procedures require that shippers reduce nominations to levels that do not exceed estimated daily consumption from a previous "Model Day" (July 11 in this case). Imbalance paybacks are not allowed under the OBPs.

CIG is holding an open season through Aug. 13 to solicit shipper interest in a system expansion from Cheyenne Compressor Station (Weld County, CO) to Valley Line delivery points. Call Tom Price at (719) 520-4465 or Greg Ruben at -4870 for information.
