Chicago-based Trillium CNG and Golden Eagle Distributors Inc. opened the first public access heavy-duty compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station in Casa Grande, AZ, a Phoenix suburb. Golden Eagle will use the facility to fuel its delivery fleet, and the fueling station also will be open to the public 24/7, including Class 8 trucks. All major credit cards and fleet cards are good at the station, and Trillium said it will be making special fuel pricing programs available to encourage other fleets in the area to switch to CNG. Making the station public is part of Golden Eagle’s efforts to make CNG a more viable option for local fleets and individual drivers.
