The second day of natural gas bidweek trading Monday (March 25) saw baseload prices maintain the weakening trend that began Friday, according to NGI’s Bidweek Alert (BWA).

Deal volumes slowed somewhat from Friday levels. Bidweek trading concludes on Tuesday.

Leading on volume for deals, Dawn in the Midwest saw 80 total deals. Its basis trading averaged at plus 0.8 cents, while fixed-price deals averaged at $1.625/MMBtu, BWA data show. That compares to averages of plus 0.3 cents and $1.620 on Friday. These levels for April were mostly flat with Dawn’s March bidweek averages of minus 0.25 cents (basis) and $1.620 (fixed price), according to NGI’s Bidweek Survey.
