Florida Gas Transmission kept an Overage Alert Day, issued Friday, in place through Saturday and tightened the tolerance for negative daily imbalances from 20% to 15% before lifting it Sunday.

Southern Natural Gas reported Saturday it had experienced an unscheduled outage on its north mainline system in Alabama near the Calhoun Power delivery point, saying it will be unable to accept nominations for that point until repairs are completed. In an update Sunday, Southern said repairs were under way and based on the best information available, it anticipated taking nominations for Wednesday’s gas day. However, the schedule is dependent on the availability of required materials, the pipeline said.

Southern also said it expects to restore service Tuesday on the 20-inch diameter South Pass 62 “B” to Main Pass 298 “B” line. The line is among the few remaining Southern facilities still down from hurricane damage last year. Based on its best information, Southern said it expects the 14-inch diameter Main Pass 153 to South Pass 62 “B” line to return to service April 22, while resuming service on the 12-inch diameter West Delta 133 line is dependent on producer repairs. For a a listing of receipt points in the affected areas noted above, see the bulletin board postings on Sept. 30, 2005 and Oct. 26, 2005.

Transco said Monday it has completed repairs of the damage caused to the West Cameron Lateral offshore southwest Louisiana by Hurricane Rita last year. It was accepting nominations for Tuesday’s gas day at the West Cameron 39, 110, 98, 61 and 41 platforms and the West Cameron 110 separator facility. Shippers should ensure that production is available for flow and should coordinate timing of their nominations with the affected producers, Transco said.

TransCanada declared force majeure Friday afternoon on its BC System in British Columbia due to a fire at the Elko A Compressor Station. The A unit’s failure resulted in the temporary shutdown and unavailability of the entire station, the pipeline said. This reduced BC System capacity to about 2,118 MMcf/d, TransCanada said; however, service restrictions are not necessary because recent nominated flows on the system have ranged from 1,518 MMcf/d to 1,765 MMcf/d. An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing. TransCanada said it expects that the B and C units may return to service this week.

An outage on the Haven 300 Line from Gate Valve 306 to Gate Valve 308 for anomaly repairs, previously scheduled to start April 17, has been moved forward to begin Wednesday, Panhandle Eastern said. The outage is expected to last three days, during which capacity through the Houstonia (MO) Compressor Station will be limited to 1,255 MMcf/d.
