Citing “decisive customer response,” effective with Sunday’s gas day Northwest lifted a Stage I Overrun Entitlement Period that had begun Thursday (see Daily GPI, Sept. 29). A Deficiency Period associated with a compressor outage at the Soda Springs Station in Wyoming (see Daily GPI, Oct. 2) remains in effect until further notice.

In addition to the 10 meters that Tennessee said last week would be out of service for seven to 10 days due to unplanned repairs on its Sullivan City Line in South Texas (see Daily GPI, Sept. 27), another three meters were shut in Monday for 10-14 days in conjunction with the work.

ANR said its construction of the Tanzanite field’s pig trap receiver and tie-in piping will require that all volumes received from the Eugene Island 327, 341 and 371 platforms be shut in during the Oct. 7-18 period. However, gas production from the three sites is minor, totaling only about 5 MMcf/d, said a pipeline spokesman.

Saying it was at the request of a non-affiliated shipper, Sonat reported holding joint discussions Friday with affiliate El Paso Merchant Energy about a potential expansion of the Sonat system in Zone 3. If these negotiations lead to an expansion, Sonat will post an open season to give all shippers the opportunity to participate. Call Mark Limbaugh at (205) 325-3878 if you have questions about the potential expansion.

To encourage shippers to become familiar with its new website, www.wei-pipeline.com, Westcoast began a Web-Surfing Safari Monday. When a customer logs on to what the pipeline said “will soon be your one-stop address for nominating on the Westcoast system,” he or she will be given a daily clue requiring that the site be searched for the answer. Daily prizes will be awarded along with a mystery grand prize later this year.
