Amid mixed changes to the weather outlook overnight, natural gas futures reversed lower in early trading Tuesday. After rallying 7.5 cents in the previous session, the August Nymex contract was down 2.9 cents to $3.720/MMBtu at around 8:50 a.m. ET.

Overnight trends in the weather data were mixed, according to NatGasWeather. The major models added to demand expectations for some days but lowered projected demand for others, resulting in only slight changes overall, the firm said.
