Tengasco, Inc. of Knoxville, TN, completed its $10 million,28-mile pipeline in Eastern Tennessee. The pipeline originates atthe company’s Swan Creek Natural Gas Field into Rogersville, TN.Hawkins County Utilities District has connected Swan Creek to itsdistribution network. Three small tie-ins and testing of facilitiesremain before Tengasco furnishes gas to East Tennessee bymid-April.

With proven reserves of 86 Bcf on one-sixth of Tengasco’s SwanCreek Field, the pipeline is expected to encourage development ineconomically depressed Hancock and Hawkins counties. The countywill enjoy revenue from a severance tax on gas sales

Tengasco plans an accelerated drilling program with a goal ofadding 50 wells to the nine wells on which drilling has beencompleted. The company plans to begin construction in May of a10-mile, 10″ pipeline to tie-in to East Tennessee Natural Gas’mainline, allowing for sales in the southeastern and northeasternUnited States. Existing wells are capable of supplying 10 MMcf/d.By the end of 1999, Tengasco expects to be able to supply 50 MMcf/dfrom a fractional portion of its field of 50,000 acres of leases.
