Natural gas futures fell Friday, with the May contract touching lows below $1.500/MMBtu before bouncing back on its last day as the front month. The June contract also fell, under pressure from milder weather patterns taking over and delaying expectations for summer’s heat to arrive.

The May Nymex contract settled down 2.4 cents day/day at $1.614. May traded as low as $1.482, down more than 16 cents day/day, as low volumes made price movements more volatile.

The June contract fell 6.3 cents to settle at $1.923 Friday, with its trade supported by much higher volumes.
