Federal, local and state governments, once keen on taking natural gas vehicles (NGV) over the bridge toward a cleaner transportation sector, have shifted lanes with electric vehicles (EV) gaining speed by the day.

In the last three decades, NGV adoption was bolstered by 37 key federal subsidies, laws, programs and regulations, some of which have expired, according to the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Alternative Fuels Data Center (AFDC). 

It’s put EVs into the fast lane, as federal and state incentives expand.
