Electrification and rising penetration of renewables should drive continued growth in North American natural gas demand over the coming years, according to TC Energy Corp. CEO François Poirier. 

“Global policies mandating new energy solutions to meet climate targets are driving the need for more of everything – all of our services,” Poirier said Tuesday during TC’s annual investor day in Toronto. 

TC’s pipelines transport about 30% of the natural gas consumed in North America.
