Magnum Hunter Settles Lawsuit Ahead of Merger Vote

Magnum Hunter Resources Inc. said Thursday that it has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with a group of plaintiffs who were dissatisfied with the company’s proposed merger with Cimarex Energy Co. The lawsuit was filed on Feb. 2, 2005 as a class action complaint in U.S. District Court in Clark County, NV, naming as defendants Magnum Hunter and each of its directors.
