Tallgrass Energy Partners LP has closed on a previously announced deal to buy Kinder Morgan Interstate Gas Transmission, Trailblazer Pipeline Co., Kinder Morgan Energy Partners LP’s (KMP) Casper-Douglas natural gas processing and West Frenchie Draw treating facilities in Wyoming, and KMP’s 50% interest in the Rockies Express Pipeline (REX), Tallgrass said Tuesday.

California Governor Signs Pipeline Safety Bills
As part of the lingering reaction to a natural gas transmission pipeline rupture and explosion two years ago in San Bruno, CA, Gov. Jerry Brown on Sunday signed into law four bills dealing with parts of the tragedy along with two other energy-related bills. Overall, Brown signed 34 measures and vetoed five for the day.
