Kinder Morgan Forecasts 12% Earnings Increase in ’04

Kinder Morgan Inc. (KMI), which operates more than 35,000 miles of U.S. pipe and 80 storage terminals, expects 2004 earnings to be 12% higher than this year, while its master limited partnership, Kinder Morgan Energy Partners LP (KMP), should see growth of at least 8%, the company said Tuesday.

Sempra Talks to 5 Potential LNG Suppliers

Sempra Energy Gains Key Permits for Two North American LNG Terminals

Along with a final federal U. S. environmental approval for its Louisiana site, San Diego-based Sempra Energy Monday said it received key federal and local approvals for its proposed Costa Azul liquefied natural gas (LNG) receiving terminal along the Pacific Coast of North Baja in Mexico. Construction of the Gulf and Pacific Coast projects is expected to begin next year with completion for both projects targeted in 2007.

Marathon Receives Mexican Regulatory Approval for Baja LNG Facility

The first and most complex of four proposed liquefied natural gas (LNG) import terminals in Baja California was approved Thursday by Mexico’s Comision Reguladora de Energia (CRE). Marathon Oil Corp. and its joint development partners, Grupo GGS S.A. de C.V. and Golar LNG Limited, announced that their operating company, Gas Natural Baja California, received a storage permit for the Tijuana Regional Energy Center.

Two El Paso Corp. subsidiaries are conducting separate open seasons to determine non-binding customer interest in transportation capacity on pipelines that will transport natural gas from El Paso Global LNG’s planned terminal on Grand Bahama Island to Florida.
