Columbia, Energy.com Offer Online Supplier Switching

Energy.com and Columbia Gas of Ohio have teamed up to enableColumbia Gas customers to switch suppliers online from theEnergy.com web site as part of the utility’s customer choiceprogram. It marks Energy.com’s entrance into active deregulationenrollment services, the company said.

Coral to Manage Mountaineer’s Supply

Coral Energy became the principal gas supplier to LDCMountaineer Gas Co. through an agreement giving Coral management ofvirtually all of Mountaineer’s total firm transportation andstorage entitlements. Effective Nov. 1, Coral will begin supplyingMountaineer, West Virginia’s largest LDC, about 25 Bcf/year forthree years. Gas will be supplied at a fixed price. Local gassupplies are not part of the deal and will continue to be managedby Mountaineer.

Georgia PSC Rules Give AGL Customers Choice Nov. 1

The Georgia Public Service Commission (PSC) issued rulesThursday to give Atlanta Gas Light (AGL) customers supplier choice.Georgia will be the first state in the nation to fully open the gasmarket to competition at the residential level.
