Most Points Flat to Down While Northeast Spikes
The cash market was flat to slightly lower outside of the Northeast as a winter storm started to leave the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic behind. Most trading points from New England through the Washington, DC, area were still recording spikes, while points out West were mostly flat.
November Adds a Penny Ahead of Fresh Storage Data
The November natural gas futures contract started its reign much like the October contract finished its own on Tuesday — quietly, but with a small uptick. The newly minted prompt-month contract traded between $3.903 and $3.980 before closing out the regular session Wednesday at $3.962, up 1.1 cents from Tuesday’s close.
Denali Open Seasons Begin
Denali — The Alaska Gas Pipeline started its open seasons Tuesday for the U.S. and Canadian portions of the Denali Project, which would carry gas from Alaska’s North Slope to Lower 48 markets. Both open seasons will last 90 days, ending on Oct. 4.
